FASTEST GROWING AIRSHOW IN MIDDLE EAST LOOKS TO INDIAN MARKETS AT AERO INDIA 201714 Feb 2017
Head of the Bahrain International Airshow Group, Yousif Mahmoud and Farnborough International Commercial Director, Amanda Stainer are attending Aero India to promote the upcoming Bahrain International Airshow which takes place from 14 – 16 November 2018.
India was a major exhibitor at the Bahrain International Airshow in 2016 and organisers hope the show will become a prime showcase for the Indian Aerospace Industry in the MENA region. Mahmoud and Stainer have a full diary of engagements with both existing and potential customers. As the fastest growing airshow in the Middle East, the Bahrain International Airshow brings one of the best delegation programmes and trade visitor audiences allowing participants and visitors the opportunity to network with key decisions makers and senior heads of business.
Speaking about the show Yousif Mahmoud commented, “The Bahrain International Airshow is a great opportunity for the Indian aerospace industry to promote its expertise in the Middle East, particularly now that the show will take place in alternate years to the Dubai Airshow. 2016 saw strong participation with the DRDO including the international debut of the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft at the show and the Serang Helicopter Display team. We hope to see these and other aircraft at the show in 2018.”
Amanda Stainer added, “The Bahrain International Airshow has grown from strength to strength since the first show in 2010. The 2018 will see a much larger exhibition hall, taking up the entire hanger space at the Sakhir Airbase allowing for more exhibiting opportunities from Indian and other international aerospace businesses.”
At the close of the 2016 show earlier this year, organisers confirmed that it had experienced its most successful event to date. The total value of orders reached US$9bn, with more than 139 participating companies. Networking and face-to-face meetings are once again top of the agenda in planning the 2018 show. Alongside the conference programme and Hosted-Buyer programme, BIAS18 will also introduce an on-floor presentation theatre allowing exhibitors to run product demonstrations, seminars and workshops. The Manama Air Power Symposium is also again confirmed to take place on 13th November 2018, organised by the Royal Bahraini Air Force.
The BIAS18 stand is located in Hall AB, Stand AB3.1.
