Entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain

The MTT of Kingdom of Bahrain has made provision for Visa exemption for BIAS Participants, and Trade Visitors. To take advantage of the procedures put in place individuals will need to note the guide lines, as detailed below.

MTT BIAS Visa Liaison Office.

The MTT has established a BIAS Visa Liaison Office, which will be operational from 1st October 2018 to 10th November 2018 during standard office hours of 0700hrs – 1415hrs (local time) Sunday to Thursday. This office will coordinate the issuing of Visas free of charge for MTT guests, official invitees and Delegations and will offer assistance for general trade visitor/media  Visa enquiries related to BIAS 2018. Those visitors who do not take advantage of the Visa exemption service the table detailed in Annex A of the Exhibition Regulations lists 66 countries that do not require advance application for Visas. Visitors from these countries can apply for a Visa on entry to Bahrain but are required to pay BD25 for the Visa. Countries listed at Annex B can apply online.The cost for the online application is BD25.

Visitors from outside of the above listed countries on Annex A or Annex B will need to pre-apply for Visas through the MTT BIAS Visa Liaison Office.

All GCC residents with valid permits will be required to pay a BD25 Visa fee on arrival at Bahrain International Airport. Please note: a valid GCC residents permit must have been issued six months prior to travel and be valid for a further six months from arrival in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

PLEASE NOTE: Visitors and Participants are not obliged to use the waivers put in place and are at liberty to apply for standard Visas should they wish.

Delegations and Officially Invited Guests

Delegations and officially invited guests will be taken care of by Julie Mears/MTT automatically and any requests for visa applications from them should either be directed to her ([email protected]) or to the MTT Visa Liaison Office, detailed above.

Participants, Trade Show Visitors

Participants and Trade Visitors from non-listed countries will need to apply for Visas in advance through the MTT Visa Liaison Office.

Media Personnel

All Media Personnel must have received confirmation of full media accreditation and Visas prior to arrival in the Kingdom of Bahrain, irrespective of their nationality.

Customs Temporary Importation:

The existing Customs Regulation for Temporary Import of Goods not for sale will apply. Any sale of an imported item would be liable for payment of Customs Duty.For customs information and guidance please consult the Bahrain Ministry of Internal Customs Affairs Website If you are planning on bringing any photographic or television equipment to the show, you must supply, in advance a full equipment list to assist with customs clearance. Please email your equipment list together with serial numbers, flight details (flight number, arrival/departure dates) and a copy of this BIAS Media Accreditation confirmation letter to: [email protected] by Friday 30th October for processing. Failure to do so will result in delays on your arrival into the Kingdom of Bahrain and customs charges being applied. 

Public Visitors

Visitors to the public airshow will NOT be eligible for any Visa exemptions and will enter the country in the standard way.
